UKVI important notice to Customers
Uncollected Passports

Customers are advised that any passports which remain uncollected after 3 months from the date they were ready for collection, will be returned to an office of the authority that issued the document, for applications submitted in Nigeria, they will be returned to the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).

Any correspondence regarding the retrieval of passports should then be directed to the NIS as below.

Nigerian Immigration Service Headquarters,
Shehu Shagari Complex,
Airport Road Sauka,
Abuja,
FCT.

UKVI requests that customers:

• Ensure that their contact details on their Visa Application Form are correct, and that we are able to reach you. This is important to allow UKVI and TLSontact to notify customers when an application has been concluded and a decision is ready for collection. It is also important as UKVI may need to contact customers to clarify information relating to the application, or to request further supporting evidence.

EXCHANGE RATE FLUCTUATIONS

28 June 2023

UKVI is aware that the currency exchange rate between Naira and Pounds Sterling is fluctuating.

If you are applying for a visa that has a financial evidence requirement, any money held in a foreign currency will be converted to Pound Sterling using the exchange rate at the date of the application. UKVI uses oanda.com to calculate the exchange rate.

You should consider the impact of fluctuating exchange rates when calculating the money you need to cover your living expenses whilst in the UK.
